It’s hard to believe that The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was written over 200 years ago by American author Washington Irving. Living in the heart of New England, I have always felt the scariest horror stories were perfectly set right in my own backyard. Colonial houses, cornstalks, jack-o-lanterns, skeletal trees, and ghostly full moons have always been part of Octobers in Maine. I had a real treat researching the history of illustration behind this frightfully bone-chilling tale and I hope you enjoy my rendition of this classic horror story. Happy Halloween & Samhain friends!
